I had my graduation climb this past Sunday. We climbed a route on the First Flatiron and did six pitches. It was a long day (12 hours after driving), but a great day! I really enjoyed being in the mountains like this and had an awesome time. We went along a harder route than we meant to on some parts, but I did fine. I can't wait to go climbing again soon!

Mother Extravaganza
Last weekend, I had my third field trip for climbing and then headed down to Colorado Springs to visit The Broadmoor. Chris and his mother were already there and had been touring around. The room was very nice and we had a great brunch to celebrate Mother's Day. My mother came into this week and it was snowing when we left the airport! We decided to take a road trip to Southeast Coloraod, which was a very fun time. We headed down 285S to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park then drove up to Pueblo for the night. On Sunday, we visited the Royal Gorge Bridge and headed back to Boulder, It was fun, but it was a little chilly with rain and even snow!

Ready for Warm Weather
Chris has been out of town a lot lately for work, but is here all week! It has been rather chilly this April, but I think a warm up in on the horizon. It seems if it is warm then it has been very windy.
I think this is going to be a summer of climbing. Chris is starting to lead climb and I am about to be finished with my class. I'm learning the basics, so we will be ready venture out on our own if needed!

April Happenings
We've been hanging around Boulder a good bit this month. We did have a hut trip planned to the Continental Divide Hut, but the weather was out of control. We made it to Keystone, but that is as far as we got! We had a fun time improvising by staying at Josh and Amber's house. We had our first garage sale ever. It was a nice day out and we made a decent amount of money, but it was a lot of work! Oakley had to get a biopsy of her nose on Monday. We are not sure just yet what she has going on, but she did well. We got her teeth cleaned to. She had to have four pulled, but seems to be doing fine now!

3rd Annual Beer, Babes, & Blades
We hosted the 3rd Annual Beer, Bades, & Blades this weeked at A-Basin. The weather was warm and sunny! It had snowed overnight so it was perfect conditions for a day of blading. Amber took care of the food and we had about 50 people turn out! Everyone is talking about next year, so I think this will be an annual tradition. Josh's alter ego Scotty Sculpin even flew in from Europe!!

Orlando - Underwater Photos
We bought a couple underwater disposable cameras during the trip to Orlando. It has been so long since I used a camera with no zoom! They are the best quality, but you get the idea.

Trip to Orlando
We headed to Orlando, Florida this past weekend for Chris' last Club Trip with his current group at work. We stayed at the Portofino Hotel at Universal, but didn't go to any of those parks. Instead, we headed over to Discovery Cove on Saturday. It was fun and relaxing. We swam in the salt water tropical reef with lots of colorful fish and huge stingrays that were everywhere! We also got in the small pool of stingrays and Chris feed a few. They had some really neat birds and a lazy river. It was a neat place. You could swim with dolphins, but we skipped that and instead went down into the shark aquarium at Seaworld the next day. That was a very fun experienc as well!
