We've got a game plan for our basement, which is in desperate need of an update. We are in the process of completing Phase I, which included putting in a new furnance with a humidifier and replacing the windows at the front of the house. It is hard to believe how much of a difference it makes!

Wildlife Animal Sanctuary
Today we went to the Wildlife Animal Sanctuary, which has been on my Colorado bucket list for some time. It was worth the drive and really cool to see a 800 pound tiger so close. Their goal is to one day have them all in the open space, but they have to take steps to socialize them before doing so. Chris was a big fan of the wolves and we even saw some bears fighting.
There is also a funny video of Maddie. I put her in her "booties" so that we could take a walk in the snow. She was either standing still or scared to put her feet down.

Chicago with the Barnettes
Last weekend, we met up with Andy and Lauren Barnette in Chicago. It was really fun to hang out with them and what a great city! We took a river boat tour and a bike ride of the city. We also were able to catch up with some of Chris' former and current co-workers. It was windy, but overall some nice weather. I think my favorite thing was Cloud Gate aka "the bean".

Been a while...
It has been a while since I made a post! Chris went down to Eleven Mile Canyon with our friend Jeffrey for some climbing and camping. We have been visiting the bike park as well. Chris has been going a lot since buying his dirt jumper. He is already doing the large size jumps.
On Friday, we took our neighbor Nelson to the infamous Casa Bonita. It was all I could have imagined and more! We had a really fun time watching the cliff divers and playing in the arcades.

Bike Extravaganza, etc.
Last weekend, we took Ms. S out for a fun bike ride and also headed to the Folks Fest in Lyons to hear Jackie Greene, Chris Robinson, and Bob Weir. They did a nice acoutsic set of Dead tunes.
This weekend was bike filled. On Saturday, I did the Iron Girl Tri at the Boulder Rez with my workout buddy Erin. The day went well for both of us. I improved on my swim and bike times, but my run was still consistently slow. There were 819 participants. I came in 98th place on the swim and 180th of the bike. Overall, my place was 208 out of 819, so I am happy. If only I could run!
On Sunday, we went to watch the Pro Challenge in Golden. It was really exciting to see. We headed over to the Valmont Bike Park in Boulder afterwards. They had some big air competitions going on.

Huts, Haircuts, Beach Trips
We started out the month with a hut trip to the Continental Divide Hut in Leadville. It was a very fun weekend and we had a good time riding bikes. It was especially fun since Dirty came into town from GA and I had my 31st birthday.
I got a new haircut and then jetted down to Ft. Lauderdale to see Chris while he was working. We had some time to hang out on the beach and visit The Bonnett House. It was fun, but HOT!
